Student Voices

The Naganuma School has one of the widest alumni bodies of any school, a reflection of its age and experience. The staff are well-practiced at teaching students of any nationality, and of course mixed classes.

Cary P, USA, Business Japanese Program

The Naganuma School is an excellent school for busy expatriates/business professionals working in Japan. The school is known in the US as a top-notch institution that delivers a highly respected Japanese language curriculum.

The school is conveniently located in Shibuya (roughly a 5 to 10 minute walk from Shibuya station.) The teachers are excellent, and really the best instructors I have ever had (I attended language courses in California before moving here.) I would highly recommend this school, and in particular, this business course, to anyone living in the greater Tokyo metropolitan area.

Karl S, USA, Business Japanese Program

It is a pleasure to learn Japanese with the business program of Naganuma school. The program is very well done and professionally adapted to the needs of executives.

Living in Japan

Before I came to Japan, I didn't know any Japanese at all. One year ago I started studying Japanese here. On arrival I couldn't speak any Japanese at all, so I found even shopping to be difficult. It was difficult because whenever I spoke to Japanese people, I couldn't make myself understood. Now I can speak Japanese. I've got used to Japanese customs and eating Japanese food, and to living in Japan.
